June 29th, 2009: In which Galadriel frets, The Littlest Edward obsesses, Anna torments The Littlest Bella, and Bella herself pours her heart out to a new friend.
"Here's a novel idea: how about you go watch Other Edward not sleep?"
"But--I don't want to watch him."
"Yeah, but if you watch him, you'll know if he's going to do anything without having to watch her. And I think we'd all be more comfortable with that."
"But--well--I mean--WHAT IF THE GYPSY COMES AFTER HER? In the middle of the night, while she is asleep and vulnerable!"
Oh, snap, he got me on that one.

Notes
- The joke behind theentire entry is that Bella actually takes a cactus with her from Phoenix to Forks in the Twilight movie. The way she holds it for several moments, she totally looks like she's about to start talking to it (which I wrote into Twilight in Fifteen Minutes), and Kristen Stewart actually says on the DVD commentary that she wanted Bella talking to the cactus in the movie. "Pokey" doesn't actually get a name until The Confession, however.
- "Possum wants cake": The Littlest Bella previously called Pan a possum to his face and then mentioned him in her sleep-talking as such. It's the animal equivalent of her never being able to get anyone's name right. Pan had also requested cake in the previous entry.
- I would be lying if I said that the exact phrase "Cabinet of Shame" was not inspired by the Cone of Shame in Up.
- We really do have a Christmas cactus in the laundry room. I have no idea why it's there.
- The names in Bella's monologue:
Evelyn: Eowyn
Erin: Arwen
Izzie or Lizzie: Elizabeth
Laura: Lyra (she also had previously called her "Lara")
Sabrina: Serafina
Renee: The actual mother of the Bella Swan character, who Bella always calls "Renee" instead of "Mom"
- I am not making the bit about the "purple seas of rage" poem up at all. Sigh.
- My sister really does have a cookbook all about cupcakes, and I wanted to end the entry on a picture of Bella "reading" it, to show that she's going to bitch about everything whether she actually ends up doing it or enjoying it or not. Unfortunately, it wasn't on the premises at the time.
