Several years ago, I was given a Beanie Baby armadillo. I thought it was adorable.

Valkyrie then gave me a larger plush armadillo. I wouldn't say it became my totem animal or anything, but it's more interesting than saying your favorite animal is a kitty or a horsie or whatever. As much as I love the littlest armadillo, I tend to identify personally with the polar bear more now.
