Fangirl got reclaimed as both 1) a (sheepishly) positive noun and 2) a verb; fanboy... well, fanboy's still pretty derogatory, but we're still left without anything to call really annoying female fans, whether they actually are in their teens or just act like it. Enter the non-gendered word fanbrat. Which I did not, by the way, come up with.
