Chatspeak for "laugh(ing) out loud." I tend to use it ironically, when at all; it drives me frickin' nuts when people end sentences with it indiscriminately ("an then i said ur stoopid lol"). During eBaumsgate, my preferred pronunciation ("loll," rather than "ell-oh-ell") came into vogue.
